This is information, not advice
The neighborhood guides, market data, school ratings, event listings and monthly notes on this site are published to be genuinely useful, and I work to keep them accurate and dated. They are still general information, not personalized real estate, legal, tax or financial advice, and not an appraisal.
Market figures come from third-party sources including Redfin, Zillow, GreatSchools and the Ohio Department of Education, and are labeled with the period they cover. Those sources define their geographies differently and revise their numbers. School assignments are set by street address and change. Verify anything you are making a decision on. Nothing here creates an agency relationship. That begins only with a signed written agreement.
Text message program
The text message program described here is operated by BML&I Properties, LLC, 3293 Park St., Grove City, OH 43123, doing business as Brent Miller, Realtor. Messages are written and sent by Brent Miller himself.
How you opt in
Nobody is enrolled automatically, and no number is ever bought, rented or imported from a list. You receive text messages only if you take one of these three actions:
- Check a box on this website. The “Ask me anything about Grove City” form, reachable from the button on every page of this site, carries two separate consent boxes. Neither is pre-checked, and neither is required in order to send the form. If you leave both unchecked and give me your email instead, I answer by email and you are never texted.
- Text me first. If you start the conversation by texting (614) 296-2439, your message is itself your consent to be answered by text.
- Ask me in person or on a call to follow up by text, and give me the number to use.
The exact consent language
These are the two boxes on the form, word for word:
“Yes, text me back about this question. I agree to receive text messages about my inquiry from Brent Miller, Realtor (BML&I Properties, LLC) at the mobile number I provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
“I don’t mind if you reach out from time to time. Separately, I agree to receive occasional texts from Brent Miller, Realtor (BML&I Properties, LLC) about Grove City market updates, new listings and neighborhood news. No more than 4 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Checking box one does not check box two. They are recorded separately, and you can end either one on its own.
Program terms
- What the messages are: box one is conversational — answers to your real estate question, properties, showings, appointment times and paperwork reminders. Box two is a separate, optional program of Grove City market updates, new listings and neighborhood news.
- Message frequency: for box one, frequency varies with the conversation and there is no fixed number. For box two, no more than 4 messages a month.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply. I do not charge you anything for texts; your carrier may.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to end them. You will get one confirmation message, then nothing further.
- Help: reply HELP for contact information, or call (614) 296-2439.
- Not a condition: consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any property, product or service, and is not a condition of working with Brent.
- Age: the program is intended for people 18 and over.
- Carriers: wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers: major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular and their prepaid brands. Availability may vary.
- Privacy: your mobile number and your opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
The monthly email
Signing up for the Grove City Note means one email per month. Every one has an unsubscribe link. Email sign-up is separate from text consent and does not enroll you in text messages.
Fair housing
All real estate advertised on this site is subject to the federal Fair Housing Act and the Ohio Civil Rights Law, which make it illegal to advertise any preference, limitation or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, ancestry, military status, or any other protected class. Neighborhood descriptions on this site describe housing stock, build era and physical characteristics. They are not statements about who lives anywhere or who should.
